“…Be bold with kindness”…….that saying has given me a postive energy. For me it’s about staying in the present and through kindness make a difference with people that I meet from day to day.

Ladies, the sound of the weather report isn’t looking to be ‘dry’ on Tuesday or Wednesday. The other factor against us – is daylight. Let’s simply plan to meet at Puetz this week and golf will have to be rescheduled.

‘Golf Fest 2009′ is in the books and many people attended, and many people were surprised at how well organized the inaugural event was managed. People were excited to see various local vendors including my employer – Puetz – that brought in vendors from Adams, Callaway, Cleveland, Mizuno, Nike, Ping and Taylor. Bridgestone was a sponsor and offered ‘ball fitting’ to attendees.

My goal and participation with the event was to inform attendees that we were offering our Winter Lesson Special – purchase 2 lessons and get three! Anyone that purchased at the show would be able to use the special beginning on September 28. Otherwise the special will be available at the Aurora location starting November and the 3 lessons must be used by February 28, 2010.

Thank you to all the people that I had the privilege of meeting and talking to. Never a day goes by when I do not learn something new. There were some interesting things at this fall show, and watch my website for some potentially cool things I will be able to make available.

As the week progresses the temperatures are expected to rise to dangerous levels.  When we meet at Jackson Park golf course tonight Tuesday July 28, and tomorrow night, Wednesday July 29, you must remember to bring your water bottles FULL with you as there are not any water fountains on the course! The high temps are exceptionally dangerous for kids and elderly and drinking plenty of water before, during and after any outdoor activity is advised.

There was some confusion last week whether I would be on the ‘tee line’, and my apologies for that misunderstanding. When the Junior date was announced I had to reschedule with you and we will be off track for a few more weeks.

The schedule will be as follows from this point forward:

July 22 – 9 am to 10:15 am

August 5 -  9am to 10:15 am

August 19 -  9am to 10:15 am

To all the ‘Dew Sweepers’ thanks for being such a great group to work with, you really are commited to practicing! Keep swinging!

We will be playing Jackson Park – Par 3 course this week on Tuesday-June 30 and Wednesday July 1.

Do your best to arrive between 5:45 p.m. and 6:00p.m. It will take approx 1.5 hours for us all to play the course. With the daylight hours we have until nearly 9:00 p.m. to complete, which is plenty of time for us all to get 9 holes in before dark!

No sign up required at Puetz, just show up and Jackson Park, pay me directly $20.00 and will pair up as you arrive to start on the number one tee. I will see that all of our greens fees are paid so you don’t have to. If you want to rent a pull cart for your golf bag you will be responsible for that fee also. I think it’s $3.00 for a pull cart.

Wednesday May 8 – 6:00 to 7:30 p.m

NO CLINICS MAY 12, 13, 19, 20

Tuesday and Wednesday will resume the 26th and 27th thru June 30th and July 1.
